Campin'

The Uinta Mountains

I had the idea of driving up to Evanston through the Uinta Mountains for the 4th of July, but then Sarah thought that we should try camping the night before. So, we took our chances and found a campsite about 18 miles in called Soapstone. We roasted hot dogs for dinner and marshmallows for dessert (and had them again for breakfast per Audrey's request). We watched a movie on our laptop as we went to bed and then had one of the longest nights of our lives! Apparently a four man tent is too small for a five person family. The kids rolled around all night, taking up a lot of room, and making it difficult for anyone to sleep! For the most part we had fun. The next morning we drove the rest of the way to Evanston and were able to see some amazing and beautiful vistas. Here are just a few of the photos we took on our family adventure.
