Family Reunion - Part I
Camp Table Rock
Here are my goofy gorgeous girls, ready to camp! This is Audrey's fourth year and Kate's second year attending the Smith Family Reunion. No showers definitely took their toll on everyone, however my girls seemed to be some of the dirtiest kids in camp. Kate must have just had her face cleaned before this picture, because her looking this clean was a rarity.
This was our second consecutive year at Table Rock for the Smith Family Reunion. It's located between Idaho Falls and Rexburg. All of Clay and Lena's kids were present with several grandkids and many great grandchildren in attendance.
One of Kate's favorite places to be - attached to her mother. She loves the outdoors and soon warmed up to everyone, especially Max the dog - whom she followed around constantly.
Kate was bitten by one of the second cousins whose a few months older than her. This picture was taken minutes after it happened. Nice bite marks Kate! This is when Kate learned to literally apply the saying "No, no bite baby" - she often says it to Audrey and her dolls. Both of our girls came back from camp with minor injuries (see Part II for Audrey's mishap).
Grandma Smith (far right) is the matriarch of the Smith family. We appreciate her spunk and compassionate personality. Here is June (Grandpa Smith's niece - second from the right) and some of the great granddaughters (left) having dinner with her our first night camping.
Believe it or not, Kate is a chatterbox at home. However, when we're in public she tends to display her shy side. Here's Kate becoming comfortable with grandpa.
Audrey at one of her favorite spots in camp. Last year she was covered in paint, this year it was mostly ash and dirt. Apparently she's well suited for camp life. Isn't she beautiful!
Kate got hurt here. Grandma is demonstrating empathy for her injury - just look at her face.
Kate and Daddy! I love those bright blue eyes! My eyes actually have a fair amount of green in them, but you don't even notice when I'm next to Kate.
When Kate wasn't following Max around, she was busy playing with Parker here. Yes, they were sharing the water bottle. They also made each other laugh a lot, it was fun to watch.
Here's the annual auction. The big prize was an ipod Nano - which we didn't win. We did win a t-shirt, a school bag with supplies, and a fleece blanket. Hey, we felt very lucky since last year we didn't get anything.
There were a plethora of pictures I took at the reunion to choose from, but I just had to include this one of Kate. Her "smile for the camera" faces are So funny!
Kate really took to Grandpa and Grandma after a day at camp. Kate was just go, go, go all day, everyday! This was one of the rare moments that she actually relaxed and fell asleep. So here's Kate, cozy with Grandpa.
Sarah showed people how to roll sushi - it was a big hit! Many people in camp were brave and tried some. Faye may have been one of the only people who didn't care for the sushi. When Sarah asked her if she liked it her response was, "No, not at all. In fact I can hardly stand to look at it while your making it."
Here's what Kate typically looked like while at camp. Normally it was food covering her face. Yummy! I shudder to guess what it was when it wasn't food.

I love Table Rock. Did you hike it? It’s one of my favorite hikes. My great Aunt even hiked with us once when she was at least 65 years old. It was awesome because she made to the top while some college girls didn’t even make it. We got a good laugh out of that.
