A Beautiful Fall Afternoon

The Hogle Zoo Playground

We'd intended to see animals today, and made it as far as the elephants. Then Audrey requested that we go to the playground area. Here are some fun pictures of the girls playing on a beautiful fall afternoon.

Initially Kate seemed afraid to go down the snake slide. However, at one point she had Audrey take her down about a half dozen times in a row.

Kate enjoyed the bridge and apparently chewing on her necklace.

Here she tried to slide through the turtle shell. There were probably easier ways of accomplishing this task.

Audrey aksed that I put a picture of her in an egg on the blog. This was the only image I took that matched her petition. As you can see, Kate kind of got in the way.

"Welcome to my parlor, said the spider to the fly."

Audrey had this double teeter totter rocking so hard that Kate nearly fell off.

Audrey thought she had a better chance of making it without the aid of the rope.

Kate loved this slide and made it her mission to slide down it again and again and again!

As I mentioned earlier, Kate had Audrey take her down this slide several times. I had to get a shot of Audrey being a good big sister, taking Kate by the hand, and helping her make her way up to the slide through the throngs of other children. I'm proud of you Audrey.

This was by far the funniest thing that happened at the zoo today.
